Like Garden Island in W.A. Phillip Island is on the door step of a major capital city. Phillip Island is maybe 10km as the crow flies from the new desalination plant being constructed at Wonthaggi. Like W.A. the green power contract to power it has not been announced. I wonder??

Phillip Island is located Western Port Bay. The Bay is home to some of the states biggest power and water users along with a large and fast growing population due to the new Connect East freeway.
