i wish Shorrocks would stop peppering his public statements with cliches. Even in today's statement he talks of "low hanging fruit." Low hanging fruit at a gold exploration project is an image that doesn't work for me. And indeed if there are any low hanging fruit we've been drilling at the project for more than six months now and getting results that have smashed the SP, now down by more than half from a year high. Low hanging fruit? Who are you kidding.

Shorrocks likes this other cliche too - exploration targets in the shadow of the head frame. i'd love to see wide, high grade assays from such drilling, yet mysteriously these are yet to appear.

i criticize the use of this sort of language because it raises investor/punter expectations unnecessarily. And as it turns out the company has over-promised and under-delivered, squandering strong investor sentiment.

the time has come - probably well overdue - for the company to become professional. It can only help.
