honestly buddy !
foxtel has always been overpriced. They are certainly pricing themselves out of the broader market. Fox has been on a decline for a number of years . They thought that they would always retain the main market share. And got complacent in their broadcasting and were are bereft of new ideas. They have an over bloated amount of staff and management on huge money.
they made huge losses on their investments in afl , league and cricket broadcast rights to the tune of over $3 billion . The advertising revenues and new subscription numbers they projected never materialised. Through that over investment they allowed Optus to buy the rights for the British premier league , champions league , Europa cup the euros and the World Cup at a fraction of what Foxtel had paid previously. Once the list these rights they actually lost a huge amount of subscribers that jumped over to Optus . So they failed spectacularly and are now broke . They have hardly invested any money on other programs. They show the same shows ov r and over every year . Murdock had to bail them out just before covid to the tune of $ 300 million .
I honestly am at complete loss how you can somehow blame migrants for Foxtel being expensive. It's just utter ludicrous and my goodness you have had some pearlers.
if anything increased population has allowed us to have more programming options . As our population grows more foreign companies see us as a more viable market. So be grateful for this otherwise you would probably only still have fox and Optus to choose from.
