Do you not understand the concept of a year on year comparison? They are comparing the figures to November of last year. Seasonality doesn’t play into this at all

ROTFL They have cherry picked the single best sales month (November) to sex up the numbers. You can bet your bottom dollar retail sales will tank massively after Christmas.

Half the US population was expecting as juicy second stimulus check in about a weeks time. So they spent up big in anticipation. Unfortunately it appears to have been scrapped. So there will probably be very little spending in the next few months as a result.
