No. This is wrong. There are no tax discount on options as they are a derivative. The discount only applies to an asset.
This whole discussion should be deleted. People clearly don't understand the tax system and shouldn't be answering these questions. Everyone should be seeking tax advice from a tax accountant, not from some random forum posted on HotCopper. The penalties for getting this wrong are substantial.
