The share market is not a casino, it is about investing in businesses and let them do their thing.
If you cannot tolerate any volatility then maybe you shouldn't invest in small/medium caps. This thing started the year at $22.46 and is now roughly 36% higher, do you expect it to keep going up at 100% every year?
One way to tolerate volatility is to not go ALL IN, but have some money available when the share price "pulls back".
