Interesting that almost everyone here agrees BHP is 'overbought' and 'should decline before a further rally'. Why is the move higher on Friday a 'gap up exhaustion'? You may be right, but another way to look at it is a healthy consolidation from 10-17th and a continuation move higher. Yes, the volume could have been better agreed, but it was the average of the last week in an overall down market. For me, im neutral/slightly bullish on BHP given the price action but will easily reverse that on a move back into the previous consolidation range. If one thing ive learned about BHP is that is can remain 'overbought' or 'oversold' for long periods and often the biggest moves happen during this time.
Feels a little like some people are having bearish views and then using TA to 'prove' it. However there are some great trading minds on this post, and healthy debate is always a good thing.
