Well done Karasco58, what was your average buy in for your FMG investment ? That's a great interest rate of 2.70%, do they charge you loan insurance on top of that ? I am carrying a $850k equity overdraft in the low 4% but I only have to pay when I can contribute whenever dividends come in. No principle or interest payments schedule or loan insurance required for it. Luckily those funds were used to add to a investment in a +Disallowed share elsewhere and I sold some of it to buy into FMG from March onwards this year. It looks like next Aprils dividend with franking credits will just about wipe out our loan.

You always lament selling shares when you see them continue to appreciate afterwards but its great to enjoy it while you can and I am sure you enjoyed giving your children a leg up in life while you are still around to see the difference in makes to people close to you. Enjoy the spoils of of the sleepless nights and heartache of making the sacrifices to get you and your family to where you are currently at. People think its easy money to create wealth in the stock market but it takes a $hitload of research, many years of being patient and making sacrifices others would not and some small portion of blind luck to get to where you are now.
