The US vote is an excellent first step. But the Republicans and Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell has said they have no plans to bring up that legislation in the Senate. Unless the Democrats win the Georgie Senate runoffs in January, nothing will happen for a while yet.

The UN move is symbolic only; it will have no immediate impact on loosening any controls because governments have jurisdiction over how to classify cannabis. I agree it's a step in the right direction, but IMO any announcement by ZLD suggesting this is a win would come across as a little weak/desperate. They need to concentrate on their business objectives to generate actual shareholder value, not jump on the back of this kind of headline to wish themselves into some higher valuation.
