FTO and link to AML and breast cancer treatment, page-38

Sorry to anyone that has lost someone to cancer.I lost my my mother in just 18 days,18 years ago.Know a host of others that have died,and are suffering with it now.My sister was diagnosed on the 25th June this year with AML.Not trying to downramp or take anything away from RAC.My sister wasnt doing that well early on as she struggled with strong chemo.Then the family got wind of a new drug which has recently become available called Vennetoclax.When used with low dose chemo,it has great results,and it has with my sister so far.It's used in older people(my sister is 64) who dont respond well to chemo alone,or cant handle strong chemo.So far this sdrug is working wonders and her AML is down to 7% now,and they classify 5% as remission.This combo treatment hasnt come without any side effects,as per most of these treatments,but it's doing it's job.The drug must be used in combination with chemo to have the greatest efficiency.If this can help others that would be great.RAC have great potential and this post isnt about knocking them in anyway.Not sure how close they are to getting their drugs out there,but if you someone with AML,there is Vennetoclax at the moment.All the best to all.
