    So Optus (owned by Singapore Government Sovereign fund) is OK because competition is needed but MinMetals, which is traded on an open stock market and allegedly "supported" (i.e. funded) by the Chinese government (but not owned by its sovereign fund) is not OK?

    Wonder how much the government supported Australian banks will squeal when they are refused access to the Chinese market?
