CR is a matter of perspective. If retail holders do not take up CR then the 'boss' will pick it all up. So by announcing a CR just prior to the holiday period would ensure more shortfall take up by the biggest holder. Then it's a matter of taking the rest for peanuts and going private. A wonderful way to pick up a distressed asset for a song. Fait accompli. May not be as strange as it sounds and certainly not beyond the realm of how Donaco fared in recent times.
