Why would I as an investor believe the audited financial accounts of the company? Because the audit has been performed by a qualified auditor.

First of all, please calm down.

As an investor YOU MUST NOT have any faith in any of the companies that you've invest in. A good investor maintains, at all times, a scrutinising and a sceptical mind towards all listed companies. Companies LIE ALL THE TIME, and in order to be able to see through the lies you MUST NOT fall in love with any of your investments, let alone idolised the CEOs running the companies.

Okay, I am claiming it then, so now I am "verified" to possess very high IQ, what reason is there for you to not believe me?
