    I am not sure Toyota understands how quickly Tesla can move its production goalposts. If Tesla can buy or produce a cylindrical solid state battery in sufficient quantities they would have them in an EV in a couple of months, pouch cells may take a little longer but for Toyota to claim a first for solid state batteries in a couple of years time is optimistically assuming that no one else will bring one into the market sooner than that.
