I was in Apple several years ago when they did a share split (think it was 5 for every share owned). At the time I didn't understand why and thought it was unnecessary/damaging like most commenting here. What transpired in the proceeding years was the company used profits to buy back shares which as share were bought & retired from the market it drove the SP up. This gave LT investors a much higher rate of return than any dividend could/would have and the SP is now 6 fold what it was after the split.
PPH's prospects for 2021 are great as were Apples back then so suspect they may use the same strategy to reward their LT supporters/shareholders. Time will tell.
