Now tell me what sort of research do you actually do?
Have you ever researched the historical data for a tenement they have applied for? Have you ever researched who's competing for the tenements and why? Have you ever set foot on any of the tenements or even been to the region of any of the tenements? Have you ever talked to the new management? Have you ever cross examined the new management based on your comprehensive research of the tenements?

If you answer no to the above, and you limit your research to the odd report, third hand info and forum dribble then I can clearly see why you might think nothing much has changed.

I don't call people idiots I just ask them to do proper research before they rave on at conspiracy theory level in every discussion.
