Garhod, you said: "No Doogsie what we need is people like me exposing your flawed ideology. You need to wisen up"

Garhod, I will refer to you as "Mr G". Your ideas are flawed on this issue, and you are the one who needs to wisen up.

You said: "The real concept as you put it is it’s not the government’s role to bail out the free market. If an asset or assets are mismanaged they get snapped up by another entity and the country continues to get economical benefits"

I say: Yes they do get snapped up Garhod, in normal economic circumstances they would, but it seems that no private owned company wants to come forward and do that, because these are not normal economic times? Privately owned are welcomed “yes” but not 100% communist government owned.

Maybe most private companies don’t have the kind of money it will take to purchase OZL, to spend at the moment?

This is where the government needs to step in, because these are not normal economic times. Get it through your thick skull, if the Chinese government can see a profit can be made with this company in the long term, then our government should be able to see this as well?

Its is our governments duty to save any amount of OZL from falling into the hands of a communist government which has an underlying insidious future economic and military strategic objective.

You said:” Doesn’t matter if dodgy doogies pty ltd or OZL owns it, the asset will continue to return wealth if managed right"

I say: How does the asset continue to return wealth for our country, if it de listed from the ASX and owned 100% by the Chinese for example????? I am glad your not the Treasurer, we would be stone motherless broke by now if we employed your ideologies.

The government has a duty to the tax payer to guide this country through the recession, save jobs, and create further employment by investing in assets and in wealth generating infrastructure.

For those mindless people who can not see an issue with the Chinese communist government swallowing up our mining assets, where do you think we should draw the line? Let them purchase everything until we own nothing "what a smart move that would be".

Having our economy controlled by the Chinese, you might as well put every Australian on a leash with a big red collar imprinted with a large yellow star on it. Great move that would be, selling off our mining backbone and turning us into quadriplegics so that we are economically crippled by the Chinese government over time.

You said: "Where you been for the last couple of years? If you really look at the detail, the financial system in the states melted partly because the US government didn't let the free market deal with incompetence in the first place"

I say: Where have you been Garhod, the financial system was crippled due to the mindless sub prime lending - bad lending practices for over valued assets.

The Banks have already made too much out of us prior to the global meltdown; they don’t need any more money from the government.

I think a government assisted bail out for OZL is the least that they could do, to take part in the Australian economic recovery effort. I don’t mind our tax dollars being invested in companies like OZL, but not by helping these greedy bankers who already made billions out of their high interest credit card and lending schemes? Yes the bankers will be helped if the debt is finalised, but at least we will preserve a great wealth generating asset that will last for years to come

The government has stimulated Harvey Normans, The Good Guys, and Westfield’s, the Poker Machine and gambling industry with their $900 handouts, now they can repair the back bone of our economy, that being our valuable mining assets.

Keep them - the large mining companies Aussie owned and operated at all costs, because if they go, we have nothing left, no backbone our economy will be motionless, we will own nothing “ZILCH”., and the Chinese will become to powerful economically and more than we can handle. They will dictate the markets and manipulate everything. They will have us by the goolies.

We can not compete with Chinese manufacturing due to their slave labor etc. Look at pacific brands for example. That’s just another reason why we should deny the Chinese government from becoming Australia's economic stand over man within our resources sector.

MR G, I am not surprised that your statements are void of facts and relevance. Financial tunnel vision.
