Make sure you ask for the placebo should you ever be unlucky enough to have to go into the confirmatary P3 trial for this treatment (if only we could pick) . I suspect you are a big pharma fan boy and will thrive on their SOC which they won hard with their 5% benefit after burning a few billion on the development.
No one will want to live longer if they still have to go to the hospital once in a while. And don't worry about all the side effects of the SOC, they are well documented in their 30 page leaflet. And I don't blame you cause that p value really needed to be at least < 0.00001 for me to go on the active arm as they didn't pre specify the correct primary endpoint for the trial. And of course that has biased the clinical significance of the results. Yes, being the armchair puritan is the life well lived. Fully agree.
