I used HKD since I live in HKD - HKD is pegged to the USD. So all ok for now until the USD dies a gruesome death. Can't see the USD holding in the near term - but then again - the Baltic Dry index is looking sick again, so too is copper prices (the barometer of the world economy so they say). So USD may rise again as all the fearful rush to the USD. Time to get my shorting strategies going. Traders make more money in downturns than they do in the booms (so I am told). Share prices go down the elevator and back up the stairs. Time for a quick ride down on the next bare rally.

It is not all about buying and holding these days. That is the strategy of property investors - it has worked very well over the last 10 years - I think the next 10 years will need a more sophisticated strategy.
