    Good point about institutions. The 3 December presentation showed retail and directors/management own 93.9% of the company.

    Although that in itself doesn't mean the price has to go up. Price is about demand and supply.

    However, if there is a perception within some institutions (or among existing holders) that ASM is substantially undervalued, then having institutions and hedge funds scrambling to 'catch up' puts existing holders in a strong position. And, judging by the rapid share price gains since ASM listed in August, I'm guessing that has been the situation... and perhaps still is.

    If there is a perception that ASM is undervalued, my guess is it's because of the rapid progress that's been made (since ASM listed) with its ziron technology in Korea. If they can scale that process up, and I recognise that's still a substantial 'if', then there's potentially quite a lot of disruptive blue sky for ASM imo.

    Disclosure: I got some ASM via my Alkane shareholding and I've subsequently trebled my holding.
