Banter and General Comments, page-17909

I've been reading the news feeds and thinking about stuff that is bothering me... so here's something to dwell on, so you can be bothered too. Over the last month or so a number of Chinese firms have seemed to back out of investments in Oz - eg Greenbushes and A40, and this month's spod purchase of 45kt is much larger than in the past, there is a shut down of non-essential trade from Oz to China at China's instigation, then there is the Solar Winds hack which is going to end up implicating China bigly... and a bunch of other stuff all involving China. Now the US has moved a strike force to either side of the US and a few aircraft carriers on both sides. There's a bunch of other stuff (eg. clearance of the oil shipment traffic jam outside China ports over the last few months, etc). Does this look like a prelude to something, to anyone else but me?
