My thinking is that, sooner or later, there will be something that turns out to be the 'straw that broke the camel's back'.
This (just possibly) might be it.
In any case, I believe the investing public will/must eventually begin to suspect the financial world, particularly of the USA, is being run to some degree on lies, deception and fraud - and that this is being operating by/at levels inherently trusted by the general public.... and that will destroy their confidence in the system, to the detriment of all. But they, the public, won't be the cause of the depression:the ringleaders (unfortunately not the masters!) of the circus will be.
In essence, the public will begin to actually see the 'smoke and mirrors' that are making things appear fine at present - and they will be horrified. Perhaps this "Stockgate" thing might be part of the awakening.
