RB Update Due Soon, page-52

My 2 cents...

If RB had walked away, ResApp would have been required to announce this to the market this morning (in accordance with their continuous disclosure obligations).

Outcome:
Given that there has not been an announcement to this effect, the arrangement with RB must still be on foot (i.e. neither part has decided to terminate the agreement at this stage).

So why no announcement today?
The original ASX announcement regarding the RB MOU didn't necessarily contemplate an announcement being made at the conclusion of the 6 month period. Instead, the relevance of the 6 month period, is that each party has now acquired the right to terminate the MOU agreement given that a JDA has not been signed within that period... "ResApp and RB have agreed to exclusively work together to build and test a prototype app for consumers to self-assess, or assess with the assistance of a pharmacist, their respiratory symptoms. This exclusivity may be terminated by either party if a joint development agreement is not signed within six months."

My hypothesis:
ResApp management didn't feel the need today to announce that negotiations with RB to finalise a JDA remain ongoing...
Why? An announcement to this effect might have actually raised more questions than answers, as they probably wouldn't have been able to put any timelines on the finalisation of the JDA, or provide any further context regarding the status of the current negotiations. As we know, at RB's request, Tony has been very tight lipped about the work ResApp has been doing with RB to date...

As such, while i was expecting an update today, I'm not totally surprised not to see anything. In summary, the apparent positive of the silence, is that the RB partnership still appears to be a live one...
