Like Hercule Poirot (pureau ha ha ha) we can only deal with the information we have and speculate ie make educated deductions/guesses about what we don't know.
I'm with limefresh, just less sure/clear about negotiations, that's a real 'black-box'.
We know:
- labs have been backlogged since March due to Covid
- AP's intentions re Ann's (based on his understanding of conditions at that time - plus, unfortunate/gratuitous choice of words re news rich flow)
- Changing circumstances at the labs are not under AP's control
