I think you'll find this has been getting investigated for quite a while. A lot of the ASIC investigations at the moment are for 3 to 5 years ago. It takes a long time to get the evidence together and then prosecute. Twiggy would have known about this investigation for years - the word has only just got out.

They have to prosecute these guys, and if the court finds them guilty, hit them real hard. I've been a very decent sized shareholder in a couple of companies which have had borderline corrupt management. Those companies and their management have nearly sent me under (I'm not talking $100k's+ investments) and I am hoping that the retribution by ASIC and the courts will be severe. They can't continue to walk around scottfree with their reputations intact while working at different companies continuing to get very decent sized pay packets. Ultimately these guys are getting paid to run the companies legally and to the best of their ability, for the owners of the company (that being the shareholders).

I hope Twiggy is found innocent, but if he is,he has got to be penalised VERY severely.
