I've reviewed what I have written in this thread and re-read all the HC posts and I was wrong.
I was wrong to come to the defence of the PM - he is still just one person and if a bunch of ppl and especially the press, feel that he should be "punished" for some incident or other, then who am I to say otherwise?
Who am I to tell others what to do (or think), the PM should make a full separate public apology for this private incident. He should resign for speaking his mind, regardless of how poor the service was. He should resign from public life, because he has been found wanting - he has admitted being human and flawed, his manners too crude for... RAF flight staff?
There is no excuse for his behaviour - an apology and confession that he is human and makes mistakes does not cut it. I am sure the opposition will make certain all Australians are aware of the PM's shortcomings, that he makes mistakes, that he is human. Of course, the opposition doesn't make mistakes, they are afterall, not human?
