Resistance here is $5.14 with target at $5.35 which is above the two previous peaks at $5.20 and $5.29
The paper gold game is getting very stretched now as physical gold supply continues to dwindle while demand rises.
Comex is the only delivery mechanism for wholesale gold at the registered paper price and it is being reported that they are paying high cash premiums to wholesalers to not take delivery. So the wholesalers take the premium and then buy the next deliverable futures contract. The next cash premium will no doubt be higher with more traders on board to pick up these bargains as word gets out.
The squeeze is on, so we'll see how it plays out.
