While 2020 has been an unprecedented year in many ways, we at BrainChip are grateful to have been able to continue our mission of Revolutionizing AI at the Edge. As we reported during Episode 1 of BrainChip's Podcast, our team has been both careful and fortunate this year regarding the Covid-19 pandemic. As a team we are working nearly round the clock, in four countries, both remotely and when necessary, in lab environments. We have been cautious about our work environment, as well as in our engagements with vendors and potential customers. This attention to detail has allowed our teams to continue to move forward with the Aikda™ Neural Processor Integrated circuit. The AI Revolution: Less Artificial, More Intelligent, and Beneficial to Society (Part One):Today's neuromorphic computing architecture is capable of real-time learning and classification which is leading to a new path of Artificial Intelligence. As technology advances, new ways to support sequential memory, prediction and eventually, awareness is within our reach. Neuromorphic architecture is the most promising technology available and overcomes many limitations of current AI development efforts.

Current AI architectures are limited
Deep learning systems don’t learn per se, the way humans learn, instead they are trained. Training is important, and sufficient in many applications, but it’s ineffective in processing the amount of data that will meaningfully impact society. (It is said that today’s neural networks are at the intelligence level of a honeybee, but this is considered a massive exaggeration.)
