You really should read a little background material before stepping thru the top of your soap box again mate.
There are as many brown coal refining technologies as there are lagers on tap in Munich.
I too look fwd to the day when wind, geothermal, solar, hydro, tidal, even planetary dipole and Tessler theory stuff..makes the world a carbon friendly energy environment...
But until then...and during the commecial environment that is the interim/transition....the world has brown coal reserves to expliot in a manner that must mitigate the side effects thereof.so:
How many technologies are precursors to one step ferrous and non ferrous tailings refining .
Tailing heaps, that refiners pay money to dump atm...
How many can operate without water reserves.
How many offer drought proofing with pure water return options in their business model.
How many don't polute waterways.
How many can refine the energy content of lv lignite to 24.3 gJ/tonne from 8..and give you 1,000 litres of distilled water as the only by product ?
Coldry and Matmor are the superior processes for many such reasons...
google them,,,you may be pleasantly surprised at just how commecial, environmentally clean, efficient and effective these processes really are !
