Rex, SOI has nothing to do with TA of a stock , it’s just part of the fundamental family for the fundamentalists to worry about. If it changes dramatically then we will see it in the price action and the chart will reflect it.
TA is an historical recording of SP and data/ patterns that surround that. From that we can determine trends and many other indications that assist with entries and exits.
Don’t know what example you would be referring to in regards to a stock split but if you are meaning a stock consolidation then the TA begins again and it would need time to generate new data. Treat it like a new IPO.
Looking at the chart, if you were wanting long term then breaking and closing above that trend line would indicate an entry, failing that and the SP is still in a solid downtrend so not attractive for entries.
