    The federal government provides significantly more funding to private schools per pupil than government schools, so private schools are treated advantageously, despite most of them not needing the money. This was in the SMH the other day.

    There is a government system, if parents don't like it, that's fine, go private. But why do they expect me to pay for their choice of school? I object to supporting class and religious separation in this way. Schools should be treated like other public goods (Libraries, swimming pools, etc). You can go private, but you pay for it
