The reason for CR’s is to raise fund for various reasons. This is carried out more so by companies during pre revenue time.
Yes they are discounted to entice buyers but as soon as bought they become the SP of the day.
There are a lot of companies out there who issue shares quite heavily and for some is to only show that they have a strong cashflow.
All of this is at a cost and also dilution of shares if not managed.
At some point in time this dilution and costs are reflected in the EPS and DPS.
If you are looking at being a LTH and wanting a decent return in the form of dividends during your lifetime of holding then you want minimum dilution as possible and the highest SP as possible with a very good P/E ratio.
