Not a holder here but keep it on watch due to non-exec director H Hellewell having ties with one of my other holdings.

Regarding yesterday and today CXO copped massive short selling yesterday (won't know today's amount till tomorrow)

In one day 0.45% of the registry short sold - 4 times more than highest ever shorting activity for CXO in last 3 yrs

Whoever did it obviously expected a drop today........

Given the co hasn't had any outstanding shorts recently it is a brazen move and he/she is going to need to buy those 4.5million shares back at an SP below 20 (yesterday's intraday high - presumably they were smart enough to only sell @ 20 or higher) in order to make it a profitable exercise. Today's 17% rise would be very worrying for them if they did not close as much as possible below 20c. Their short position is 0% gain unless they closed them back up during today whereby their best gains will be 17% (Returning sold shares bought back at 17c). Just thought some holders here may appreciate knowing this.
