holy sh1t dude, those sources are categorically wrong.
EVs use about 150-200Wh per km, they have ranges of up to 500km, so the battery size is 70-100kWh. Each kWh of lithium battery consumes approximately 0.9kg of Lithium carbonate equivalent. Leading to 63-90kg Li2CO3 Equiv per vehicle and about 13% more for lithium hydroxide.
Further interrogation shows that the adamus source is in fact FUD from the fossil fuel industry that includes Hybrids as EV's and that is why they get such a low number, based on tiny "average" batteries, my calcs above are correct.
