The only thing I can think of is that they had no confidence in value of the share component (particularly if there was an escrow period)

If a larger ASX kaolin hopeful was willing to pay $7M - presuming they had done their DD, it would appear the SUV BOD have pulled off a coup and got a bargain, and now are producing kaolin and making a profit for SUV shareholders.

Why did Imerys sell ? Don't know but, I'm glad they did and glad SUV got all the experience and manufacturing secrets that go with it..... priceless. All IMO.

Does that not sound a bit strange to you when you typed it? Imery's gave up an extra $5mil to go with SUV, a newly listed company with no proven track record...
