Lol, thanks for that, theres more true wording in that extract about what Mr.Biden has said in relation to big Tech.than Dex's

    From your provided article....
During the Campaign Mr.Biden threatened tech companies with heavier regulatory scrutiny....... the key word is threatened, there was no promise and also the tech firms gave in to Biden's threats and backed him and restricted Trump campaign. Personally i think words used are important to notice because a quick read may give the statement a different outlook.

With the higher taxes statement, Biden promised corporate tax hikes, he didn't merely threaten the tax hikes.

Paul, not Biden put it as " higher corporate taxes which, again, were promised by Mr Biden" I see this as a misleading statement because regulation was not promised for the tech companies, they were merely threatened whereas tax hikes on corporates were promised.

Don't forget Biden threatened Ukraine over withholding the billions they needed in regards to sacking some prosecutor who was puirsuing his son. Biden knows all about threats and how they work, ukraine sacked the prosecutor and Biden dropped the threat and gave the billions because he got the desired result. Biden is on an easily found video describing his threat.

I see the word threat to mean something completely different to promised.

Heres a link to show the funding the tech's provided to Biden campaign.
" An analysis by Open Secrets, a campaign finance watchdog, found that contributions from Alphabet’s employees and political action committee to the Biden campaign collectively exceed those from any other company. In fact, according to Open Secrets, Alphabet, Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook, and Apple account for five of the seven largest donors to the Biden campaign on that basis."

Heres a link showing no clear direction on tech policy and how Biden has put big tech people on the transition team.
" A number of Obama staffers got tech jobs during Trump's term. Now they're back. " : nothing dodgy to see here rolleyes.png
" The list has more than 500 members, and technology companies are well-represented on the list. It includes current employees of Airbnb, Amazon, Dell, Dropbox, LinkedIn, Lyft, Salesforce, Stripe, and Uber. It also includes employees from the philanthropic organizations of three tech moguls: the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg), the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates), and Schmidt Ventures (former Google CEO Eric Schmidt)."

There you go dub, i've explained my reasoning a bit better above, Biden and Obama are very cosy with big Tech, to me it looks as if they've all worked together against Trump and the republicans over the last 4 yrs, its obvious really, social media companies are very influencial on peoples thoughts and the media narratives, no way the election was fair and thats without all the allegations of fraud being discussed in congress at present.

Anyway, i know opinions vary but i would say Bidens threat to tech companies will be empty considering above info but tax hikes for corporates will come, i think it took a while for Trump to get the tax cuts through so i wouldn't expect tax hikes straight away but i would say they will come.

    Fish.
