Telstra would not have the balls to run out its own service it cant compete without its goverment influence .They cannot deliver the service to the country because they are now profit driven not service driven. sound like qantas power companies they survive for a little while on the back of good infrastucure built for service till they run it down for profit .Im not a big fan of the public private system people and bussiness need service and assets that are provided by the taxes they pay for .No bussines can run its service in a country that has such vast areas of small population and be profitable but qantas the banks telecom and our goverment insurance provided to the the people only to be sold because it was going to be better and cheaper ????????? Hello they are just looking for handouts and nationalisation because yes they do not do service. They do profit and sell and swap there share holdings high pay checks all to the detriment of the people who they profit from .Take a close look at the gfc and the companies with there hands out.Kind of makes you sick when the farm is sold to buy it back run down and in debt for more because well they are service industry.Power crisis ????? well will a private comapny driven by profit have the goods to maintain what they buy ? iTs not the goverment problem no more its sold but hey we as people need it so they companies cry poor and foul play the goverment crys out because the people want it back to being run so they can throw the book at them and vote them out for not doing so .Its a big circle and a big mistake letting your countries best assets onto private hands controled by self intreseted parties driven for profit not for service .I think Rudd has his balls in the right place on this telstra has been a blight on this goverment and the last one .Cast your eyes back to when it was telecom and it was leading the world in its investments and future .I mite be wrong but been around enough to see the difference in service over time and can still remeber my first little grey bank book that made money not cost me money!
