The steel mills are crying poor when they have had it so good for soooo long.
If I recall the Chinese Steel mills themselves changed the pricing regime and reneged on many contracts in the process leaving Aust miners in the wake.

The notion that we need a fairer pricing mechanism is just a myth. The market does what it needs to do with a high degree of transparency.

Are you aware that Steel makers themselves actually trade in Iron Ore to game the syetem?

Additionally, the price of IO has been low for a long time and many miners have gone broke in the process. I guess we didn't get a flurry of articles about that.

What is going to be really interesting is the post cv19 vaccine world when other countries seek to ramp up steel production ?
Or perhaps when Operation Boomerang gets legs and we produce our own steel.

This talk of fairness is just laughable
