The end of the Trump era is like a 1980s teen movie. Donnie has been spending up big on cocaine and hookers while his mum and dad are away in Europe. He's sold their furniture and maxed their credit cards.

End scene in the movie is the parents coming home and realising the mess their perennial loser boy has got them into. Loser Donnie escapes in a Delorean with his parent-funded hookers, all to an upbeat Hall &Oates tune.

The reality is, of course, that it will take a generation to recover from the damage that the Manchurian candidate Trump has done to the US. And that's optimistic. They're probably screwed.
