I should mention somethings about aitik to cull any over-excitement about potential porphyry findings. The words used in many geological interpretations of aitik is that some of the deposit is “porphyry like” and not classed as a porphyry deposit. It’s source is mainly from disseminatations and veinlets.

Surrounding economic deposits in the bergaslan such as garpenberg and zinkgruvan don't have a porphyry ore body system however it’s probably important to look at how economical these polymetallic sulphide deposit have been in the region and my understanding is a lot of them are receiving extended mine life’ due to large mineralisation content.

With abit more research recently I’m seeing the importance of intersections of mineralisation from reported visuals of <200m depth from aqi and although none so far have been VMS as I expected. It’ appears there’s some striking similarities to the economically viable mines in Sweden and the greater falun projects early and recent findings.
