just my opinion but if you think about it the register was crowded with people who had bought into an it services company and were hanging on hoping for a turn around. The buy back was an opportunity to shake out anyone who no longer really wanted to be in the company. Not too different to the way they cleaned up small parcels at the end of the financial year.

given a lot of people had sold their companies to PSZ and been given shares, I would absolutely think that they felt they were entitled to some of the money raised by selling off the Melbourne assets. I think this was planned before the Farmbuy people came in, as it was written into their purchase agreement that they would not be entitled to rake part in any selective buyback that happened prior to dec 2020.
