I was an investor in St Barbara and got to know Tim Richards a little. He is a terrific executive and he has been able to ensure that the company has raised enough money to deliver the project. There is substantial opportunity for further gold discoveries and if they do find further gold, production can be doubled for about $100m which could be funded from retained cash flow. This project is really about producing 200k oz a year five or six years from now rather 100k in two years. Then the profits really sing, subject to the gold price of course.
