Here are my pointers..

To set up your Pty Ltd Super Fund, (I opted for sole trustee, that way you dont need to get things countersigned)

I used :

For SMSF set up once ABN obtained, I used:
https://www.superannuationwarehouse.com.au/


and opted for the $79 / month, that way you can use whatever bank and trade platform you like.

They will send you a standard trust deed document, some research and you can amend with any investment strategy that is accepted today.

Execute the trust deed (sign), provide copy to bank and Superannuation warehouse.

Once all that done, use superfund lookup to check you are all registered, then roll your AS super into your new SMSF.

There is a company (will get link and post) that you can get insurance via.

I just used my employer fund and every 6 months roll over contributions, to get insurance cover
that way.. (just watch the fees on the extras.. I opted out and just has a basic death and permanent disability.

i spent hours reading all the ATO tips, etc... The ATO made it look like some magical mumbo jumbo near impossible process...
However, I found doing the above really that simple and cost effect...

6 weeks later, I held my first meeting with myself and minuted my first share purchase

(PLS Oct 2014) and NEVER looked back.
