those broker reports just let you know which brokers settled the transaction not who bought the shares. I have no idea why people quote them on here? If an institution etc has bought a heap then they go substantial and you get an asx announcement otherwise its pretty meaningless. Also if the substantial holder statement is from info the really big banks (UBS, Mac, CS etc) those are just the collective holdings of their wrap account holders whereby the shares are held in a nominee group as a custodial holding not in a direct beneficial nature. My shares in NC6 are listed as a big bank's nominees but I bought them and I hold beneficial interest not the bank, the day I bought them would have shown as a bank's nominees not as a personal investor. Institutional brokers are almost never the actual buyer in these tiny companies.

I'm not trying to pick a fight, just honestly confused by the way broker reports are quoted on HC.
