wink fails at daytrading, page-10

Hey Wink - you know how sometimes in life you go through different stages? Well I have been where you are.

A few years ago, I daytraded and initially made some good money, but on the whole lost out. I look back at those 'silly' mistakes now. I ended up back in the workforce. This pattern continued for a few more occasions. Right now, I'm trading because my work contract expired in December. Essenitally I'm 'out of work', but the current trading market suits my style and I'm able to make a very healthy living.

What I'm saying is that you should take a break and get back to work. Your interest won't dwindle, the markets will and next time, you will come back with increased confidence in your trading. If it's going to be trading-for-a-living you need to treat this as a job, much like running a supermarket. Every profit is a 'sale'. The more 'sales', the more profit you make. Every stock is no more than a can of beans.

Above all else, there is more to life than making money. Despite the money I make in the markets, and it's quite substantial, I still prefer a lesser paid job, a boss, staff, guarenteed income, the social side of the workplace etc....

Good luck with your new job but don't lose interest. It's just 'A stage in life" and there are many more plays...
