I spent a lot of time with the Airbus innovation SVP in Toulouse in 2019 & we got to know each other reasonably well . he had a whole team on hydrogen . he says the fuel issues are the issues holding it back . logistics , supply chain and safety concerns that will take a decade to sort out , his timing was from 2030 . Paris has a big hydrogen program with a whole taxi fleet that will number 50000 taxis by then . my feeling is we will have a two stage system with hydrogen coming later , batteries by then will have captured the EV market
