That figure is for reporting and very really has nothing to do with what the real value is.
Everything and i mean everything in this world is only worth what somebody is willing to pay!
Therefore the ip could technically be worth anything from nothing to 10 mill. (using 10 mill as an example)
If you have more than 1 person bidding then normally the price will be higher.
It may come in at 1.7 mill but your logic is wrong.
Its like houses that get sold for more than what the registered value is.
Or a company depreciating assetts.
It happens all the time.
I have read and taken apart these type of reports for most of my working life so i actually know a little bit about it.
Nobody truely knows how long the ip will last could be 1 month could be ten years.
Im sorry harv im not sure why you are stating all of this but i will continue to correct you if i feel the posts are incorrect.
