Are you having us on, Geojac? Besides digital glitches can you see any detail on the power poles at all? I really like the idea of them being lengths of reject drill pipe. That would probably make it the best quality power line in Australia. The photograph is a poor quality one (defocussed or lens aberration). Looking at it again, and measuring, I would suggest the poles have a diameter of 330 mm (which would make it rather large drill pipe). Any other estimates?
When anns are assembled I think GDY office go through the standard procedure of, "What latest photographs do we have?" The power poles photograph may have been taken weeks ago before the lines were actually attached as they are now.
"Hot commissioning" must mean a full start up of the entire system and that means there must also be a load. Would GDY admit in an ann that Innamincka has been lit up before the pomp and ceremony grand opening? They certainly have to try it out first.
Geojac, is this a case for your mole at Innamincka?
