The reason for the Pause and Announcement was probably to squash wild speculation and price fluctuation/instability.
The directors are no doubt well aware of all the hot air and inadequately supported optimism that is being blown around here and in other places.
When the company announces something real and tangible will be time enough for celebration, fireworks and shouting.
But until then speculation and price instability does no-one any good, least of all the company's reputation.

What IS interesting is that this morning's price increase (from 56 cents to 62 cents at time of posting) would probably have happened regardless of the Pause and subsequent (non) Announcement.
