I understand your point about Trump supporters pretending to be concerned about free speech, it's absurd of course.
There is some good evidence that Trump ordered the extraction of Assange from the embassy. People close to Trump consider him to be terrorist and want him killed etc etc.
But all these claims you repeat that he has broken laws, endangered informants and US soldiers are lies.
His only "crime" has been to reveal war crimes and government lies. That is a public service. Wikileaks/Assange doesn't work for any government. They reveal the crimes of governments.
Politically he pretty much a small L liberal but he is a courageous journalist who is being persecuted by criminals.
